Guide: 5 bucket list activities to do in Edmonton before winter is over
Winter won’t last forever, folks. Whether that makes you a little upset or puts a smile on your face, there are plenty of wonderful outdoor activities in the colder months that make Canada’s longest season special. So get outside and enjoy it! With all of that in mind, we’ve teamed up with Corona to come up with 5 bucket list activities to do in and around Edmonton this winter.
MIETTE HOT SPRINGS IN JASPER
Right off the bat let’s look at some rest and relaxation. Miette Hot Springs outside Jasper are the hottest springs in all of the Canadian Rockies. The pools sit at around 40°C, which means the possibility of cooling down with a Corona afterward is a nice idea.

HIT UP ALBERTA’S ICE CASTLES
One of Alberta’s must-see winter spectacles actually exists right here in Edmonton. The incredible Edmonton Ice Castles are a magical combination of ice, LED displays, and winter wonderland vibes. They make for the perfect date and are affordable, which is a top-notch combo any day of the week. Why not keep the magic going with a Corona?

VICTORIA PARK ICEWAY
The Victoria Park IceWay is, in short, a winter dream. The skating trail wraps through the beautiful forests of Victoria Park and is lit up to make things even more magical. We think a Corona could be the perfect aprés, but that all depends on whether or not you ever get off the ice.

Another skating trail in Edmonton sits in the city’s northeast on the north bank of the river in the heart of Rundle Park. This is a top spot to have some outdoor fun while the weather permits, so hustle up and get out there! Work up a little sweat and maybe you’ll want to finish the day off with a cool Corona and lime.

One of Canada’s best ski spots is just a few hours west of Edmonton in Jasper National Park. Marmot Basin holds quite the reputation as a fantastic skiers hill, but people of all abilities will have something fun to do. Why not wrap up your night with a stay in Jasper and aprés with a Corona? It’s a choose-your-own-adventure kind of thing.
