Step aboard this vintage 1920s-style trolley for an Edmonton-wide tour

The Edmonton Explorer has come to the city this summer with 1920s-style Molly Trolleys, here to help folks navigate and connect to experiences all around Edmonton.

On this new tour of Edmonton, friendly local guides are coming to share the stories, history, and hidden gems that bring Edmonton to life. Whether you’re here for a quick day trip or a full long weekend, this trolley ride is a completely unique experience with so much to offer. With 20 curated stops around the city, you’re definitely going to find something to enjoy.

This also happens to be the Discover Edmonton Pass‘s official ride, which makes it much easier to connect the city-wide experiences into one day of adventure.

Now, getting to Edmonton’s best spots is going to be a unique and easy experience.

What to expect on the Edmonton Explorer

For those looking to hop on the trolley, this ride runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

It’s no surprise to anyone that Edmonton is a big city with a lot to see. The Edmonton Explorer is supposed to make the trip easier by connecting the city’s best spots, from the downtown Arts District all the way to West Edmonton Mall. So, with this, there are two distinct routes the trolleys take, with 20 major stops along the way.

Stops include the Alberta Legislature Building, Fort Edmonton Park, and the Edmonton Valley Zoo. If you’re looking for a full list of stops, as well as the schedule, check out the business’s website online.

Throughout your ride, you’ll be able to get on or off at any of the 20 destinations, spend as much time as you like, and simply catch a later trolley to continue your journey of discovery.

How much are tickets for the Edmonton Explorer?

Tickets begin at $48 for adults (13 and over) for 24 hours or $72 for 72 hours. These tickets are multi-use throughout the ticket time period, allowing you to jump on and off whenever suits you. You’ll be able to purchase them online on their website.

This new experience will be running all summer, up until Thanksgiving weekend. So, if you want to explore Edmonton in this new and exciting way, hop aboard the trolley and get rolling!
