Drive-Ins & outdoor movies: Here’s where you can catch a flick under the stars in Calgary this summer

Pop some corn and your trunk or roll out a picnic blanket! Summer 2023 is winding down and so are hotter days, longer nights and sunny day activities – but there’s still time. One of our favourite things to do while the grass is green? Like so many others who live in Calgary, we love a drive-in movie or a grassy flick!

While there certainly aren’t as many in and around the city as there were during the height of the pandemic, Calgary still has a number of spots where you can enjoy a movie under the stars.

If of course, you’re not sure where to go this year, here are just a few that are expected to reopen for the sunny season with a selection of old favourites and family-friendly classics.
