This Edmonton downtown party bar has a multi-level nightclub with a private room

A little while back, we informed you about the opening of Edmonton’s much-awaited party bar in Ice District, Home & Away. Given the legacy of the previous resident, the Mercer Tavern, and the fact that it’s bang opposite Rogers Place, we assumed it was going to be a regular sports bar. Well, turns out, this new hangout hotspot is anything but your average, run-of-the-mill sports bar.

Agreed that it is one of the best places in town to grab a few drinks with the gang while enjoying a game or join other Oilers fans in cheering on our team. C’mon, drinks, giant screens, friends and cheers, it truly is our home away from home. But there is so much more here to indulge in.

In addition to the sports bar signatures there are fun games for some ol’ fashioned friendly competition, seriously upbeat, foot-tapping music, a super chill vibe and of course, a drool-worthy menu that has something for everyone — and this is just the main floor.

Now, here’s the thing about this multi-level bar – the party gets even better downstairs!

The basement level is brimming with electric house party vibes, complete with your fav local DJ’s! You know what that means, right? You can’t resist the urge to go wild on the dance floor.

And talking of house ragers and party vibes, the place actually has what they call a “secret room.” Intrigued? We were too! Turns out the secret room is a hidden gem where you can host private parties. Looks like we just found a venue for our next bash.

It’s hardly a surprise the place is becoming a preferred destination for the YEG party scene! If you haven’t gotten the chance to get wild at Home & Away we strongly recommend you do.
