A ‘winter celebration’ is coming back to Edmonton next week

Winter might officially be over, but that’s not stopping us from getting excited about The Downtown Defrost! This outdoor celebration is arriving in the city next week, with two days of fun in store. If you’re ready to get moving, here’s what to know about it.

Having started back in 2015, The Downtown Defrost combines great concerts with food truck treats and even a couple of cold ones to enjoy. This year, the event has moved from Winston Churchill Square (which is undergoing renos) to The Backyard!

In addition to multiple names playing at the event proper, The Common and 9910 will also be hosting afterparties for you to extend the celebration! There are some big names in the electronic game coming to, including Eli Escobar (playing The Backyard on Friday) and Jacques Greene (at 9910 on Saturday).

Tickets for the celebration are now on sale, and weekend passes have already sold out! Our advice? Time to hit up the group chat and see who wants to go!
