It’s time to explore your city! Doors Open Toronto returns this May and if you’ve ever wondered what’s behind the door of that mysterious building, you may be able to see for yourself. Hundreds of buildings that are usually closed to the public across Ontario and especially Toronto will be open to the public for an entire weekend. Here’s what to know.
The main event, Doors Open Ontario, kicks off on April 27th with other cities and towns opening their doors through spring and into the fall season.
These cities across the province will unlock doors to all kinds of buildings, spaces, and sites that are either private or that you would normally have to pay to enter.
In Toronto, it’ll take place on May 25th and 26th. And just like last year, there are over 150 locations available to explore.
And per the city, this year’s theme is hidden histories.
The City of Toronto has a list of participating buildings where you can filter down the buildings available based on the day or address.
Along with the free access, you can also uncover stories in activities such as walking tours, interactive experiences, special exhibitions, and much more.
