Light up the first weekend of November and celebrate Diwali in Seattle!
This free festival is coming to the Seattle Center next month as part of the Seattle Center Festál seriesin partnership with Northwest Share. It’s free and open to the public and will feature live music, dance, art displays, martial arts, and cooking demonstrations.
Diwali is the name for the annual Festival of Lights observed across India every fall. It’s a major cultural celebration that symbolizes the “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.”
It is a celebration that brings together families, friends, and communities. People will come together to feast, enjoy delicious sweets, share gifts, and set off firecrackers!

There will also be activities happening all day long including painting, drawing, puzzles, jewelry making, weaving, and arts and crafts.
