An immersive Disney experience has opened in Calgary & it is magical

Something enchanting has bippity boppity boo-ed itself at the newly expanded BMO Center. 

From until August 18th, 2024, Stampede Park in Calgary will host the Disney Animation: Immersive Experience, a heartwarming exhibit where your inner child is truly celebrated.

Brought to life by Lighthouse Immersive, this event will feature 500,000 cubic feet of light, sound, and surprises.

From floor projections to custom bracelets that light up in sync with the story, guests of all ages are encouraged to take a fun-filled walk through a gallery of time, nostalgia, and wonder – no matter what their favourite animated movie might be. 

“Immersive Disney Animation is an innovative celebration that takes you inside the greatest films of Walt Disney Animation Studios, from their very earliest, groundbreaking features to the beloved hit movies of today,” they write on their website.

“Imagine stepping into the Casita with Mirabel from Encanto, being at Pride Rock as Rafiki presents Simba – surrounded by the animal kingdom as the sun rises. Imagine hopping on a train with Judy Hopps and going into Zootopia or taking a magic carpet ride with Aladdin and Jasmine, and so much more….”
