New 3-day music festival with major headliners coming to Toronto this summer

A new music festival is coming our way, Toronto! The three-day festival, called Decadence, will take place at CityView during Canada Day weekend.

If you’re a fan of EDM, you’ll definitely recognize some of the names on the festival’s lineup — Tiesto, Illenoium, and Above & Beyond, to name a few!

“Located at CityView Toronto, Decadence will give festival-goers the opportunity to experience their favourite artists perform live on a massive 238-foot stage, with unmatched views of the Toronto skyline in the background,” says a description of the new festival.

CityView is a new waterfront venue that emerged in the city during the pandemic, hosting drive-in movies and concerts as well as outdoor events during the warmer months.

Put on by INK Entertainment Group, Decadence is actually a revamped version of the Decadence events previously held at The Guvernment Nightclub.

The same company will also invite the public back to VELD Music Festival at Downsview Park this July.

This year promises to be bigger than ever with an additional day of live music, and headliners like The Chainsmokers, Armin Van Buuren, Alesso, Marshmello, Martin Garrix, and Porter Robinson.

Also making a comeback this summer is Osheaga, Montreal’s iconic music festival.

Osheaga will be celebrating its 15th anniversary this July 2022 with a packed-solid weekend of major headliners, including Foo Fighters, A$AP Rocky, The Kid Laroi, Kygo, Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, Machine Gun Kelly.

With all major events allowed to resume this summer, it feels good to call Toronto home right about now.
