You can experience Ontario’s largest collection of public art right here in Toronto

Toronto is currently acing the art scene with impressive new works and plenty of immersive experiences playing out around town. Making a perfect addition to the art and culture scape of the city is the Concord Adex ArtWalk.

Just ICYMI, Concord Adex recently unveiled its ArtWalk at Ethennonnhawahstihnen Park in Concord Park Place. And it happens to be the largest critical mass of public art in Ontario.

Curated by Public Art Consultant, Karen Mills, the features 14 stunning works of art commissioned by Concord Adex. The artists featured include indigenous artists Michael Belmore and Jay Havens as well as the international artist collective, Inges Idee and others.

But being the largest isn’t its real deal… being straight-up spectacular is! And they decided to make the whole experience a lot more fun by turning it into a treasure hunt.

So, the ArtWalk works in tandem with a fun, treasure map-style app, Eventzee. All you have to do is download the app from Play Store or App Store, create an account and join the ArtWalk event. To join the event you need to use the gaming code ‘CONCORD’.

As you go exploring and ticking off challenges listed in the app, you can scan the QR codes against each installation. This gives you the opportunity to learn the details and story behind each piece- right from the palm of your hand!

Talking about the App, Terry Hui, president and CEO of Concord Pacific Group, said, “Using tech as a medium youth will appreciate and engage in is key in encouraging interaction. We hope this progressive and condensed presentation will inspire many and we plan to develop the app further.”

Don’t forget to check out the Concord PopUp while you’re artwork hunting for the chance to shop from a revolving door of local vendors!
