When you think of the CN Tower, does hosting a party or event come to mind? Probably not. But it should!
The CN Tower offers private event rentals on a portion of the Main Observation Level, becoming the sky-high spot for all kinds of celebrations. With premium food and service, it’s time to bring your party to the CN Tower.
Lucky for me, I got to experience a showcase of the Main Observation Level space and witness firsthand how special it is.
Ready to dance in the clouds? Come along with me to a private party at the CN Tower.
Despite the CN Tower’s size, this portion of the Main Observation Level actually felt very cozy and intimate. Curving around the tower with gigantic glass panelling, this unique space definitely felt like a trendy nighttime hotspot.
Right off the elevator, guests were welcomed by cheerful staff offering beverages — a touch that really set the vibe for a perfect night to come. With a drink in hand, it was time to start exploring.
The room opened up to a large performance and dance floor, inviting party-goers to move deeper inside and let loose. With a live band playing and red disco lights casting a glow overhead, the night was already in full swing.
Throughout the party space, elegant food stations were staffed by friendly servers offering dishes from the CN Tower’s 360 Restaurant. Highlights included tender bison short ribs and beautifully crafted mushroom ravioli — simple yet elevated bites. Hors d’oeuvres were also served, with my personal favourite being the steak tartare!
As you continued further into the space, partygoers were met with a freshly-shucked oyster bar featuring East Coast oysters and toppings. Equal parts live show (watching the staff efficiently shuck each oyster) and tasty treat, this bar quickly became my favourite stop of the night.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, a beautifully assembled dessert table was waiting for us at the back of the deck! Featuring two options — a sea buckthorn and mango mousse or a rich dark chocolate cake — the treats were as impressive in presentation as they were in taste.
The space just flowed correctly; if you felt like dancing up a storm, there was ample space up front, and if you wanted to hang out back and chat, you had your pick of cocktail tables, couches, and benches. This setup seems like the perfect option for a wedding reception or big anniversary party.
The glass-tiled ceiling was the perfect spot for selfies all night long. But perhaps the most spectacular portion of the night was the view! As someone with only a few CN Tower visits under her belt, I was absolutely dazzled by the tiny cityscape below.
The dreary weather on the night actually turned out to be a good thing, as lightning flashed past the windows, making for a perfect dancing lights show.
With my belly full of seriously delicious food and my feet just starting to hurt from the dancing, it was time to call it a night. Exiting the space, attentive staff thanked us for coming and handed out small gifts — just the cherry on top of a very successful night.
This party received a 10-out-of-10 in my book. I was impressed by the entire setup and never felt that the Main Observation Level was crowded or that something was missing.
Now my only dilemma is trying to figure out what occasion I’m going to celebrate at the CN Tower!
Visit the CN Tower’s website to contact the events team and start planning your next big bash. You can book the 360 Restaurant for sit-down meals, meeting rooms, and the Maple Leaf Cinema too.
