With all the buzz it has been creating it’s hard for you to have missed it. But just in case you’ve been living under a rock, allow us to bring you the awesome news— the Calgary International Film Festival, or CIFF, is back for its 23rd year, and single tickets are on sale September 8th! Ticket bundles are available now on their site.

The festival just released the full list of films and with notable features ranging from dramas, thrillers, romance, comedies and anything else you can think of. The festival goes beyond films with special experiences that include a special screening of NOSFERATU with a Live Score by Chad VanGallen (performing as Black Mold), Virtual Reality, Video Games and more.

The inclusion of Black Ice, the documentary produced by Drake, Future and LeBron James, in particular, has been the talk of the town for weeks.

This year is also bringing back the spotlight on Albertan filmmakers, cast and crew. With its Alberta Spotlight segment, the festival aims to honour, support and promote local talent. And given the interesting line-up, the talent sure deserves all the love. There are coming-of-age films, thrillers, documentaries, post-apocalyptic dramas and more.

Another segment to watch out for is the Music on Screen. This one highlights the many music legends whose stories deserve to be narrated. From celebrating the art of drumming to spotlighting the New Orleans music scene to diving into Buffy Sainte-Marie’s remarkable career, Music on Screen boasts some truly inspiring stories.

Basically, whatever be your thing, CIFF has plenty for you to view.

The best thing is that the festival continues to retain its hybrid model. While you can catch the movies in theatres at one of the venues (check out the venues here), you can also stream them online.

Check out the website below to view the movie list and grab your tickets. FYI, the bundle tickets are on sale RN and the single tickets will be available from September 8th.
