Looking for a go-to beach to catch some spring and summer rays in BC? It comes as no surprise that there are plenty of options in and near Vancouver. However, there’s one that truly stands out from the crowd: Chesterman Beach in Tofino, which was recently named one of the best beaches in the world by Condé Nast Traveler.
Known for its rugged coastline, crashing waves, and “wild beauty,” Chesterman Beach is a beach-goer’s dream. Wide stretches of smooth sand, large driftwood logs, and lush forest surround it all.
CNT recognizes Chesterman for its popularity among die-hard surfers, and the famed Wickaninnish Inn which overlooks the ocean. This lands the Vancouver Island beach in the #16 spot out of 34 beaches across the globe, which include destinations like Fiji, France, Costa Rica, and New Zealand.
