If the 2010s proved anything, it’s that treehouses have entered the mainstream. Once reserved for off-the-grid diehards and truly lucky children, the treehouse Airbnb is now a legitimate option when making your travel plans. Plus, we’ve found an absolutely gorgeous one in the Fraser Valley.
Note: When planning your travel, please be aware of changing provincial and local guidelines. Hopefully, interregional travel will be available later this spring, but we don’t want to be on the hook if you decide to ignore the current rules.
Dubbed ‘The Birdhouse’ (shoutout Tony Hawk), this Airbnb is nestled into the foothills outside of Chilliwack. And, that means some pretty immediate access to the local trails and mountains nearby. After all, why book a treehouse if you’re not a nature lover?

Speaking of loving nature, we have to admit that we’d jump right into that outdoor shower beneath the treehouse. Especially on a hot summer morning or after a long hike, it would be a supremely refreshing experience. Plus, dumping a bucket of water on ourselves on our patio just doesn’t have the same romantic weight.
Luckily, the luxurious outdoor shower is about as rugged as things get. Designed with comfort in mind, the interior of the treehouse offers expansive views and modern amenities. You’ve got an induction stove to use, a loft for sleeping, and the hosts were even kind enough to include a half-bathroom for you.
So, if you’re looking for a quick getaway later this summer, definitely keep this BC treehouse Airbnb in mind. To check out the listing in full, just click here!
