New list reveals the 10 cheapest places to live in Alberta with the best quality of life

Looking for a change in scenery? From Lethbridge to Edmonton there are some incredible places to start a new chapter, it’s just a matter of finding one that works for you.

Luckily, in hopes of making your decision an easy one, MovingWaldo put together a list of the cheapest places to live in Alberta with the best quality of life.

Now, let us preface this by saying that no city is perfect – but when it comes to the cost of living, low crime rates, access to social services and public green spaces, our province has got a few destinations that come pretty close.

Using average home prices and rental rates, data collected by the Crime Severity Index and public information about green spaces, pollution and education, Moving Waldo determined that Lloydminster was at the top of their list.

With an average monthly cost of $1,378 the “special city” was revered for its unique location, cheap rent and it’s recreational activities – perfect for an active family and those who love the outdoors.

Medicine Hat and Grande Prairie respectfully, also made the list – with Red Deer, Camrose and Sylvan Lake rounding out the top 10.
