This spring is off to a hot start. Luckily, this time around there are a ton of exciting events that will get you out and about. The best part, many of them won’t cost you a dime! As always, we don’t want you to miss a beat (or an opportunity to save a few bucks) so here are 12 FREE and cheap things to do in Calgary this June. Enjoy!

Pop some corn, support local, and save a couple of bucks. This month, check out one or all 45 of the incredible films featured in the 25th FairyTales Queer Film Festival – an annual event that gives the LGBTQ+ community a platform to share stories of self-love, suppression, acceptance, and misrepresentation.

With wholesale prices, several locations across the city, and expert staff, the Glow Garden pop-ups will return! This annual shopping event is familiar to many and beloved by plant enthusiasts and admirers – so don’t miss it!

Animals and sun? What could be better? This June snuggle a kangaroo or two, go axe throwing, and place a bet on a round of minigolf! Cobb’s Adventure Park is set to open for the season and in our opinion, there’s really no better way to get outdoors than this.

Inhale, exhale, stretch and sweat at an all-ages free Yoga class in Stanley Park – after all, there’s really a no better way to spend an afternoon than by winding down and breathing in some fresh air with your toes in the grass.
