Vancouver HR & Recruitment Networking #14 

The month kicks off with a networking opportunity at Waves Coffee House on Howe St. Although it’s not geared specifically towards job seekers, it can be a great opportunity for folks to get out there and meet new like-minded professionals across industries, and who knows what kind of connections you’ll make?

Mount Pleasant Career and Community Resource Fair

There’s a career and community resource fair at Heritage Hall on Main next week that will offer a range of services, from attending exhibitors, from child development to addiction support and recovery, to free and low-cost food options. The career fair will take place from noon to 4 p.m. and require registration (free), and the resource fair will take place between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

At the Vancouver Career Fair and Training Expo on Thursday, April 10, you’ll have the opportunity to explore tons of exciting career options and speak with on-site training exhibitors about how to earn the credentials and diplomas needed to land your ideal job.

So far, vendors are set to include Langara College, Set to Success, Support Worker Central, Vista Railings and WOW! mobile boutique.

Career Fair: Exclusive Tech Hiring Event

This career fair is online and geared toward the tech industry. Hiring exhibitors include fast-growing startups and Fortune 500 companies in tech across Canada and the U.S., with a focus on helping companies achieve greater DEI in their talent pool. According to the event page, available roles include ones in software engineering, product management, data science, UI/UX design, marketing, and more.

Building Tomorrow: Youth Trades Fair 

This free event will provide young individuals with the chance to connect with a wide range of professionals in the trades industry. So if you’re interested in a career in engineering or construction or want to learn more about education pathways, this is a great opportunity to do exactly that.
