The Vancouver Canucks bring back game-day festivities & watch parties for the playoffs

What a start to the second round of the playoffs, Vancouver! The Canucks just came out on top against the Edmonton Oilers last night, and fans are gearing up for a historic series ahead.

According to the NHL, this is the third time the team has gone up against the Oilers in the playoffs, and they’re bringing back viewing parties, beer gardens, and live events to celebrate. This includes the iconic Toyota Party on the Plaza, which is set to be “bigger” and better than ever this year.

Home game viewing parties

Outside of Rogers Arena (800 Griffiths Way), the Toyota Party on the Plaza will feature a larger Michelob Ultra Beer Garden (19+), an Air Canada Stage with live entertainment, Canucks alumni (and Fin!), and a marching band, as well as family-friendly activities for younger fans.

The party will start three hours before the puck drop for each home game this series, which means you have multiple opportunities to celebrate alongside fellow fans.

Plus, starting Sunday, May 12th, fans will get the chance to rally together at Oak Meadows Park (899 West 37th Avenue) for free watch parties on the following dates:

  • Game 3 – Sunday, May 12th at 6:30 pm (away game)
  • Game 4 – Tuesday, May 14th, time TBA (away game)
  • Game 5 – Thursday, May 16th at 12 am (home game)
  • Game 6 – Saturday, May 18th, time TBA (away game)
  • Game 7 – Monday, May 20th at 12 am (home game)

Away game viewing parties

In addition to Oak Meadows Park, Vancouver Canucks fans can officially gather at Rogers Arena for the Rogers Away Game Viewing Party on Sunday, May 12th at 6:30 pm, with tickets priced at just $20.

Proceeds go towards the Canucks for Kids Fund – and tickets will absolutely go quickly!

Tickets to the Game 3 viewing party at Rogers Arena go on sale at 10 am Thursday, May 9th, so snag your spot while you can!
