You can explore and rappel 6 stories below this Alberta mountain

You’ve seen the Rockies in all their glory, but never quite like this. Rain, snow, or shine, experience everything that the mountains have to offer, above and below.

A one-of-a-kind excursion beloved by tourists for 25 years, the Canmore Cave Tours are among the very best things to do in the area – but it’s not for the faint of heart!

Those who are claustrophobic may want to skip this wild exploration of Rats Nest Cave – the underbelly of Alberta’s iconic Grotto Mountain.

With 2 wild tours to choose from, adventure-seekers will wander, crawl and squeeze past ancient bones and unique formations conquering fears and making some memories, but of course, how many you’d like to make is up to you!

During the Explorer tour, you’ll be given 4 and a half hours to survey the space, while on the Adventure tour, you’ll have 6 hours, some of which will also be spent rappelling 6 stories down what they call ‘The Laundry Chute.’

Interested in challenging yourself? These excursions are accessible almost every day of the week.

Guides are experienced and will teach you the do’s and don’ts of caving, plus will supply the gear and coach you along the way!

Check it out and good luck! We think this time, we’ll live vicariously through you.
