Canada’s Wonderland is transforming into a winter utopia with seven million lights

Spooky season is almost over, and Canada’s Wonderland is about to make a major shift. The amusement park will conclude Halloween Haunt on Nov. 2 as it prepares for holiday mode with WinterFest starting on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025.

Yep, the park is going to go through a big makeover that will include a whopping seven million holiday lights.

WinterFest will be open on select dates from Nov. 15 to Jan. 3 and will have a nightly tree lighting ceremony! The family-friendly festivities will also have plenty of photo opportunities with special guests like Elf on the Shelf and Mrs. Claus, who will be hosting cookie decorating as well.

The festival has been running for six years now. “WinterFest is a wonderful holiday tradition for guests of all ages,” shares Heather Hill, park manager. “It’s a magical experience to see the entire park lit up with lights, to hear the holiday music, to see the exciting shows, and enjoy a fun night out with family or friends.”

Other highlights you can get excited for include:

  • 23 rides (Charlie Brown’s Christmas Town, Thunder Run, Klockwerks, Psyclone, and Sledge Hammer, just to name a few)
  • Tinker’s Toy Factory (indoor show).
  • Christmas Market
  • Jack Frost’s Igloo Village, where guests can rent their own private igloo for the evening with food and drink service
  • Ice Skating on Snow Flake Lake (online reservations are required beforehand)

Among the 40 attractions are two shows, new to the 2025/2026 lineup: Small Town Snowmance and It’s Christmas, Charlie Brown!

Advance tickets for the WinterFest dates start at $32, so be sure to buy yours ASAP. If you’re looking to switch up from the typical holiday markets, this is the perfect place to do so. Whether it’s with that someone special, friends, or family, there’s something for everyone.

I can’t wait!
