Monsters wanted: Canada’s Wonderland will pay you to scare people this spooky season

Calling all costume lovers and fans of ooky-spooky Halloween fun! Canada’s Wonderland is hiring for Halloween Haunt and there’s a range of positions to apply for, including monsters.

Spooky season is just around the corner and Canada’s Wonderland is hiring for its annual Halloween Haunt event. Available positions include monsters, make-up artists, food and beverage associates, and more.

No experience is necessary to get hired as a monster, as long as you’re at least 17 years old and have a passion for scaring people.

You’ll have to scare attendees as they travel through the mazes, and within the park. What fun!

The position pays $18 to $18.50 an hour, so you can make some pretty decent cash for it too.

You can also work as an atmosphere performer, which does pay more, starting at $19. Why not get the monsters ready for their scaring spree as a makeup artist? Pay starts at $19 to $19.75 an hour.

You must be available to work evening shifts ending at about 1:30 AM on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in late September until the end of October.

Perks

But scaring isn’t the only benefit of working here. Canada’s Wonderland employees get:

  • Free Admission to Canada’s Wonderland and other Cedar Fair parks!
  • Earn promotional tickets for friends & family
  • 20% discount on Merchandise and at select Food locations; employee cafeteria with discounted food
  • Free and/or discounted admission to many Ontario attractions
  • Work with a diverse team in a fun environment

Be sure to submit your application online! If you’re applying to be a monster, you’ll have to show off your skills with a short audition.

You can browse the full list of jobs on Wonderland’s careers page.

Better start practicing your best monster impression for the big audition! All we ask is that you don’t do it in public.
