It might just be because we really got into golf this summer, but we’re very excited to hear that a new golf resort is being planned in Revelstoke, British Columbia. What’s more, it’s coming from Cabot Links Golf, which is one of the best golf resorts in the entire world.

No, seriously, both Cabot Cliffs and Cabot Links in Cape Breton have been a part of the top 100 golf courses worldwide for the past few years. In fact, in 2020 the Cliffs course nabbed the number 10 spot, ranking the highest of any Canadian courses.

So, they’ve got some swagger behind them. And, we guess they’re ready to bring it to the Canadian Rockies. They’ve chosen a location near Revelstoke, which should offer some incredible mountain views and challenging hole designs. We think they’re gunning for the Fairmont courses in Alberta, which have been the gold standard for mountain golf for decades.

So far, the plans are for Cabot Revelstoke to include a 150-room lodge, a spa, fewer than 50 luxury residences, and (of course) a championship 18-hole golf course.

According to an article from Golf Digest, Cabot Revelstoke (the resort’s name) will begin construction this winter, and should be completed by 2023. That’s good news to us, since it’ll take us about three years to save up for a week there, anyway.
