Canada will soon unveil the new face of our $5 bill – here are the nominees

Canadians are about to have a new face in their pockets. The government of Canada is expected to announce the official face of the new $5 bill in the coming days. All eight finalists have made major contributions to various pieces of Canadian history. So no matter who is picked, we know they’ll make Canadians proud.

So who are these finalists? Let us break it down for you. The shortlist is made up of eight names and they are as follows: Pitseolak Ashoona, Robertine Barry, Binaaswi (Francis Pegahmagabow), Won Alexander Cumyow, Terry Fox, Lotta Hitschmanova, Isapo-muxika (Crowfoot), and Onondeyoh (Frederick Ogilvie Loft).
