Another long weekend is just around the corner and with it? Canada Day celebrations in Calgary and from coast to coast.
This year, like so many before it, the city will host a day full of festivities, most of which will be free to attend and fun for the whole family.
Want to plan ahead?
On July 1st, check out The Confluence Historic Site and Parkland (formerly Fort Calgary), St. Patrick’s Island, or Olympic Plaza, then wrap things up at Stampede Park for an explosive finale.

According to the city, 2024 will feature live music, face painting, a street fair, and other cultural activities including turban tying to an Indigenous showcase and powwow – but that’s hardly all!
The city will practically come to life with people out and about, having picnics and enjoying drinks on the patio.
Then, once the sun goes down, point your peepers to the sky for a beautiful fireworks display.
It’s going to be an action-packed Monday!
