Calgary’s fave pool party spot is getting turned into a ‘winterized’ tropical oasis

Pool parties? In this climate? … Well of course! Why the heck not? Don’t hang your shorts and bikini tops up just yet because Hotel Arts is actually gearing up to reopen their pool party deck next week with an inflatable ‘toque’ fit for the chillier weather.

Calgary’s answer to the tropical escape sans airport security is on its way back, folks and it’s bringing the heat – quite literally.

In addition to the pool covering Hotel Arts will be making triple-sure that guests are just as warm and cozy as they were under the late July sun.

In a mock 24 C ‘weather’ (plus humidity), Calgarians will be able to dine poolside, have a few drinks, and go for a comfortable dip, despite what will soon be a city of snow and sleet. Just name a better staycation destination, we’ll wait.

Now, there is a $20 pool usage fee and a 2-hour time limit, if you aren’t staying in the hotel but for those who are it’s totally free and you’ll get a 3-hour time limit on peak days – which is plenty. Either way, it’s totally worth checking out, especially if you feel you’re in need of a break, so add it to the must-do list!

HOTEL ARTS

When: Thursday, October 8th
Where: Hotel Arts, 119 12 Ave SW, Calgary
