We live for the weekend, and we’re feeling too hot to trot this time around. In layman’s terms, we’re feeling mighty good, and you should too! March is finally here, which means we’re one step closer to patio beers, tan lines, and music festivals. We can’t wait, and we’re pretty sure that you can’t either! To celebrate, why not get out there and have some fun? Here are 8 things to do this weekend in Calgary!

CALGARY MICRO CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL

Eat and drink chocolate, or take workshops with Calgary’s cacao heavyweights like Bernard Callebaut, Malcolm Saunders and Denis Manzerat at an event that might be smaller than your average festival, but will also be tastier than the average festival.

LEAP DAY IN THE PARK

Celebrate this Leap Day at Calgary’s Central Memorial Park, where they’ll have an obstacle course, laughter yoga classes, snow games, and a fire pit to cozy up to among a ton of other fun activities! The best part is that this event is free, and man, do we love free.

LAST CALL FOR YYC HOT CHOCOLATE FEST 2020

We hope your whipped cream is locked and loaded because Calgary’s sweetest festival is here, but only for one more weekend! For an entire month every winter, several participating business around the city craft their very best version of everyone’s favourite seasonal drink in hopes of winning a coveted title.

VIVIAN MAIER: IN HER OWN HANDS

This weekend, check out the Glenbow Museum’s mysterious new exhibit. Vivian Maier: In Her Own Hands features over 100 photographs found at a Chicago auction house by chance, each giving the viewer insight into 30 years of American city life as captured by one of the most enigmatic figures of twentieth century photography.
