And just like that, the week is already over! Time just flies right by doesn’t it? Now it’s time to slow things down, kick your feet up, have a drink, relax, and catch an event or two. Don’t know where to start? We’ve got you. Here are 8 things to do in Calgary this weekend.
They say you should learn one thing a day. This Friday, learn several! The Telus Spark Science Center will be premiering their brand new dome movie, Great Bear Rainforest, narrated by Canada’s boyfriend, Ryan Reynolds. Grab a bag of popcorn and journey through the magical environment that is the Canadian Rainforest. The grand opening event also includes real biofacts from the Calgary Zoo, a meet and greet with the film’s sound designer, hands-on wood-burning activities and ton more. Sounds delightfully educational.

Eat and drink, but mostly drink, your way through this weekend. kick things off on Friday at the Rocky Mountain Wine and Food Festival, go back for more on Saturday and then maybe take Sunday to recover. You’re actually going to need that much time to get through all 300 of their wines, 480 of their beers, ciders, and spirits. Don’t even get us started on the food. Godspeed, Calgary.

Haunted Calgary has 23 long years of spooking experience, that becomes frighteningly apparent as you walk through their three new haunted houses: Deep Sleep Hotel, Cesspool, and Sanitorium. Wow, sounds almost like a vacation. Check it out, if you dare.
