8 Things To Do in Calgary this Week (April 15 – 19)
Well, we’re halfway through the month already… and with more double-digit forecasts on the horizon, we’re feeling good. We want to get you out of the house and exploring the city, so we’ve gathered some great ideas for the coming days. Here are 8 of the best things to do in Calgary this week!
When is it not fun to go to the Farmers’ Market? Literally never. Especially when it’s Easter, ’cause they have photo ops with the Easter Bunny, Easter cookie decorating, and a fundraiser for the Calgary Food Bank.
When: Thursday, April 18
Where: Calgary Farmers’ Market– 510 77 Ave SE
Little tykes love Easter, don’t they? Why not make it an extra special one for ’em, then? Head to the zoo to get your kiddies to play, explore, create, and learn. There will be fun-filled family activities, including face painting, arts and crafts, and more!
When: Friday, April 19
Where: Calgary Zoo
Spend $15 and take an amazing trip down memory lane! With music by Erwin, Drew Atlas and Gummi, this old school party is a can’t-miss for those of us who cringe at “today’s music”.
When: Thursday, April 18 @ 10 PM – 2 AM
Where: BLK RBT Lounge– 811 1 Street Southwest
Feeling parched Calgary? Too bad. You’re gonna be real thirsty at Cowboys’ Dehydration Party… that is, until Andy King shows up to save the day. Yep, you read that right– the hero of the Fyre Festival, the man who will do whatever it takes, is hosting a bash. Grab a meet and greet ticket or feel extreme FOMO!
When: Friday, April 19 @ 9 PM – 2 AM
Where: Cowboys Dance Hall– 421 12th Ave. SE
This is one of the largest exhibitions of new cars and trucks in Western Canada! If that doesn’t get you revved up we don’t know what will.
When: Wednesday, April 17 @ 12 PM – 9:30 PM
Where: BMO Centre, Stampede Park
Got kiddos to entertain? Take ’em to Butterfield Acres. While you’re enjoying the fluffy embrace of a friendly goat, your children can collect what the Easter Bunny needs in their baskets and turn them into incredible Easter Eggs!
When: Friday, April 19 @ 12 PM – 2 PM
Where: Butterfield Acres– 254077 Rocky Ridge Road
Good news folks! Plus 15 Pop Ups are back again! Head to the 2nd floor of the Metropolitan Conference Centre to hang out with 12-13 awesome vendors.
When: Wednesday, April 17 @ 9 AM – 3 PM
Where: Metropolitan Conference Centre– 333 4 Ave SW
We’re still heartbroken over the loss of Bon Scott, but that doesn’t mean we can’t jam out to one of the best-selling albums of all time. Classic Albums Live is recreating every song perfectly, so pop over to bless your ears!
When: Thursday, April 18 @ 7:30 PM
Where: Arts Commons– 205 8th Avenue SE
That’s a wrap on this week’s Things To Do! We hope we didn’t miss anything, but if we did don’t hesitate to tag us in it on Insta. We wanna live vicariously through you Calgary!
