Happy Monday, party people! We hope you had an incredible long weekend and are ready to get into gear! This week is actually pretty eventful, ya know… considering. Let’s eat, drink and shop (because we can do that now, how cool) Let’s see what’s in store for us this time around. Here are 8 things to do at home or around Calgary this week.

Order local!

Calgary’s restaurants need us! Unfortunately, the decision to open these businesses on May 14th was made prematurely. Several restaurants now have more inventory than necessary, and are looking to the public for help!

Take an online painting class

What’s up Picasso! Could your quarantine buddy use a few pointers? Take an online painting class this week and let those creative juices flowww.

Go for a bike ride

Hop on a bike and get some fresh air this week! No bike? No problem! We’ve put together a list of the best distance friendly shops where you can buy a new whip!

Check out the Hillhurst Outdoor market

The first of the season! On May 20th, get some fresh air and some fresh fruits, veggies, and locally made digs at the Hillhurst Outdoor Market!

Take a cooking class taught by Calgary’s best

With Brewery and the Beast’s Homeschool Series, foodies can get ultra creative in the kitchen and behind the bar. This Thursday the video series will feature festival alumni chefs and guest bartenders, who will take you step-by-step through creating cocktails and unique dishes via live stream.

Hit the museum

The Royal Tyrrell Museum opens this Friday, May 22nd, folks! Of course, there will be some new restrictions and social distancing measures in place, but you’ll learn a thing or two, and it will get you out of the house!

Check out Calgary’s virtual jazz festival

Until the end of this month, you’re invited to join fellow music lovers and artists virtually at the 2020 TD JazzYYC International Jazz Days Festival! This festival will run until May 27th and each set will run for approximately 60 minutes, featuring a lineup of incredible musicians from all right here in Calgary and all over the world.

Oh, happy day! Calgary’s city-run golf courses are now open for the season! This week make yourself a tee time, pull out those clubs, and get a few swings in this long weekend for the first time since last year!

There ya have it, folks! Calgary is practically bumping with things to do this week. Stay healthy, happy, and busy, friends!
