Take a beautiful snowshoe stargazing tour in Kananaskis this winter

Living in a big city has pros and cons. Pros? We have nightlife and great restaurants. Cons? Well, call us a nerdling, but one of the first things that come to mind is that even on a clear night, you can’t really see the stars. Fortunately, after a short drive towards Calgary’s magical backyard, that all changes. This winter, you can take a stargazing snowshoe tour through Kananaskis.

Local company Kananaskis Outfitters has one-upped your date game Rolodex with their one of a kind mountain experience. Follow their skilled interpreter on a fresh, starlit tour through forest and snow, and sip hot cocoa in a secluded meadow. Bam. Romance.

This is the perfect evening activity, photo op or weekend spice up, guys. They’ll bring the drinks, the lamps, and the telescope, and all you have to bring is yourself, and a good jacket. It’s winter in Canada, in the mountains so you can expect a chilly evening.

Unfortunately for your tots, because you’ll be treading through rugged terrain, in the cold at night, anyone under the age of 12 will have to sit this one out. Sorry guys!

Tickets are $79 and are available on their website. Can someone spot us? We’re a liability on showshoes.
