Rental of the Week: Affordable one bedroom in the East Village
Happy humpday, folks! Welcome back to another Curiocity Calgary Rental of the Week! This time around we’ve got an affordable one-bedroom apartment in The Hat at 7th, a brand new East Village building loaded with amazing amenities. Let’s check it out!
RENTAL OF THE WEEK
Good things come in small packages, right? This modern stunner may only be 562 square feet, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in possibilities. This never-been-lived-in-before apartment is right in the heart of the East Village, one of the city’s most desirable residential locations. This is actually the East Village’s very first rental-only tower, and it’s about time!
The building is ultra-convenient, only steps away from Bow River and minutes from downtown. It’s surrounded by stores and restaurants but removed from the hustle and bustle of Calgary’s core. It’s quiet, but not too quiet.
All appliances in every suite are up-to-date and have never been used (because you’d be the first person living there), so you know they’re in perfect condition. This is a total relief because there’s nothing worse than a busted up microwave and cooking too-hot-to-touch Pizza Pops with frozen centers a week after you move in.
Every suite in this East Village rental has hardwood throughout, is pet-friendly, has an ensuite washer and dryer, a full-sized bathtub, high ceilings, air conditioning, and a walk-in closet.
Honestly, the building is actually a selling point in itself. Right on the main floor, there’s a state-of-the-art gym and on the second floor, a communal function room with a full kitchen. On hotter days and cooler nights, head up to the rooftop patio for a bbq and then chill by the fireplace.
As if all of this wasn’t enough, they also have a main floor daycare service and shops for those little need-them-now things you wouldn’t want to go to a big-box grocery store for.
Now, you’d expect a rental in an East Village building like this one to be sky-high, right? Well, this bad boy is only $1,475 a month, which we think is pretty reasonable. Don’t believe us? You can check out the listing right here!
