Only one Canadian resort ranked amongst world’s best
Although Canada got snubbed in Conde Nast’s best hotels of the world 2018, BC can rest easy knowing they stepped up to rep Canada and get a nod from Elite Traveler instead. The Clayoquot Wilderness Resort, just outside of Tofino, is the only Canadian resort on the list.
We’ve got to admit that the seasonal resort looks pretty dang nice. Guests stay in luxury tents, eat gourmet meals, have unlimited access to alcohol, get to go on guided tours, and have the opportunity to go either deep sea or fishing. Of course, a spa treatment is also provided after all this activity.
Thinking this might be a good summer getaway option? Well, you should start saving now, because a three-day stay costs a minimum of $5,700 CAD per person. While we’re sure it’s worth every penny, it might be better to rent a camper van and trek around for a week in the interior of BC. Up to you though.
When: Open May 16 to September 15
Where: The resort is only accessible via seaplane or boat, of course
