We think it’s about time to give our post office a little bit of a break, don’t you? For those of you who are ready and willing to head back outside (after washing your hands, we hope) we have some great news! Nordstrom Calgary in Chinook Centre will be reopening to the public Thursday, May 28th!

Like many other retailers and restaurants, Nordstrom will be doing so in phases in order to protect as many people from the potential spread of COVID-19 as they can.

“The health and wellbeing of our employees, customers, and communities is our priority. We’ve been paying close attention to guidance and directives from local and national authorities,” they said in a release sent to Curiocity.

Before Thursday, the store will be making a few changes to better comply with government regulations. These updates will include employee health screenings along with face coverings for both employees and customers, which they will provide. As well as keeping returned merchandise off the salesfloor for appropriate periods of time and increasing sanitization of the store.

They’ll also be updating their changing rooms and floor plans to help people distance themselves while shopping.  Wowza.

Nordstrom is honestly doing the absolute most, folks, but if you’d like to learn more or have any questions about the steps they’ll be taking to prevent the spread of coronavirus, you can check out their website here. Happy spending, folks!
