From holidays to festivals we all have that one annual event that gives us the warm fuzzies, but no one does ‘comfy, cushy’ like IKEA. Every year, the Swedish furniture store holds the Soft Toy Drawing Competition, an initiative meant to encourage kids all over the globe to get creative and scribble the plushy of their wildest dreams.

According to a recent press release, this time around, the big-box giants actually received over 66,000 submissions from little ones all over the world; and wouldn’t you know it, a Canadian nugget was among one of the 5 who pulled a ‘W.’

9-year old Audrey from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and anyone with a pair of arms will now be able to give her drawing ‘Sandwich Friends’ a squeeze at every IKEA from coast to coast.

“My soft toy represents best friends who live in Canada. Peanut Butter is soft, and jelly is sweet which together make a wonderful treat,” the winner of the Soft Toy Drawing Competition, Audrey said in a virtual interview with IKEA Canada. “With Sandwich Friends I want others to be kind, careful, and to always stay and take care of each other.”

The SAGOSKATT collection, which includes Audrey’s PB and J, will be available this fall. Also, as if that wasn’t cute enough, all proceeds will be donated to local children’s organizations across Canada that support their right to play and develop – so check definitely check it out!

Congrats, Audrey!
