Calgary Farmyard’s 2020 corn maze a heartwarming 11-acre tribute to frontline workers
The only thing we’ve had to navigate in the last few months has been the quickest route from the couch to the fridge. You could say our sense of direction is a little bit rusty. This weekend, put your left, right, north, and south to the test with a visit to the Calgary Farmyard corn maze.
2020 has been a pretty rough year so far, especially for front line workers. To celebrate our grocery store, janitors, and health care professionals, the folks at the Calgary Farmyard have done something pretty special.
This year, their 11-acre corn maze depicts frontline workers as the superheroes we all know that they are.
Their maze is always super impressive, but this one is something else. To pull it off, they actually took inspiration from one of the images posted to WeFightTogether.ca, a social movement that has been encouraging Canadians to create and submit art honouring those who have been working to keep us fed, safe and sane during the COVID outbreak.

This is by far the biggest thank you – in size – that we’ve seen come from all of this. If we’re being honest, this whole thing has made us a little emotional, but that might be because we’ve been sitting here trying to draw our way out of the maze instead of eating lunch.
To get lost with your inner circle, check out their website here to purchase tickets! If brain teasers are just not your thing, at the very least, we recommend checking out WeFightTogether.ca for more incredible art.
Stay safe, out there friends!
