Butterfield Acres will bring a pony or ‘unicorn’ to your home for a visit

Via Butterfield Acres / Facebook

You can look, but you can’t touch! Calgary’s Butterfield Acres now offers MC Hammer-style pony and ‘unicorn’ visits. Now, honestly, we’re a bit skeptical, but only because we remember what it was like being told not to touch something when we were like, 7. That ish was hard, guys.

The experience is meant to bring smiles and we’re sure it will… as long as you and your kids are stronger willed than we were. Even now, we have a hard time looking at someone else’s dog knowing that due to physical distancing,  even with permission we can’t run over and just love the heck out of it.

Don’t get it twisted though, we understand completely. For the safety of everyone, it’s best to view from afar.

“There is no way for the pony to give rides while still maintaining a safe physical distance between our farmer and the families we visit,” staff writes on their Facebook page. “To comply with (health) guidelines, we are required to impose a strict, no-touching policy.”

Each 15-minute visit costs about $74.99 plus GST, but they will come right to your front lawn. That’s service!
