A $1,000 potato is for sale on Calgary’s Facebook Marketplace
Having trouble finding that perfect gift this year? Well, so are we, and it doesn’t help that the holidays are hella expensive. A lot of the time, people will turn to places like the Facebook Marketplace to make quick Christmas cash, or to find a one-of-a-kind item for that someone special.
Sometimes you’ll find something so unique, so incredible, it will stop you dead in your tracks. Like this collector’s edition heart-shaped potato, grown in the purest dirt, and appraised and verified by a premier Calgary grocery shopper (we’re assuming.) Truly spectacular.
Unfortunately, something this special will cost you, but we don’t think they’re asking for anything too unreasonable… if they would be willing to take Monopoly money instead. Because you’ll probably never see anything like this anywhere else, it will run you a cool grand. No, we’re not joking. Now, you might think $1,000 for a potato is steep, but… it’s also heart-shaped. If that doesn’t have your wallet screaming “worth it,” we don’t know what will.
If you’re interested, you can take a look at the Facebook Marketplace listing here. But don’t even think about cutting a deal, low ballers. The seller knows its worth and they’re not willing to compromise.
