Biking in Calgary has always been a pretty popular form of transportation, but as of late, the need for speed and fresh air has blown itself out of the water. People are biking now more than ever as a way to get out, stay distanced, and get some much-needed exercise. If you’re one of the many who was looking into buying a two-wheeler, here are 7 bike stores in Calgary that are still in operation and ready for business!

CALGARY CYCLE

Calgary Cycle is one of the city’s most popular bike shops. They have bikes for all ages and climates, accessories, parts, and clothing. Right now, while they’re still open, in order to comply with physical distancing regulations they’re only letting 10 people in their store at a time, and they’re disinfecting absolutely everything.

SPORTCHEK

Right now Sportchek has a crazy sale on where select brands are up to 40% off, this includes bikes, folks! If you’re like us and desperately need help with big purchases, they also have an online bike quiz that will help you find your perfect fit, and are offering free shipping, which is always nice.

BOW CYCLE AND SPORTS

It’s super important to shop locally right now! Calgary-proud business, Bow Cycle has operated pretty smoothly since 1957 and this isn’t stopping them from doing what they do best, but they have adjusted their operations accordingly. These guys are still thriving despite the fact that they have closed their sales floor. You can check them out online or you can call ahead for curbside assistance!

RIDLEY’S CYCLE

Right now, Ridleys Cycle in both Calgary and Okotoks are offering 3 incredible delivery options, phone, chat or email assistance, and 0% finance plans. These guys aren’t messing around, friends. They’re doing the absolute most for you in quarantine.

BIKEBIKE

Calgary’s ‘Citizen Cyclery,’ Bike Bike is still in operation, but like most, they’ve had to make a few changes. The store is only allowing one person in the showroom at a time but although they’ve had to cut down on staffing, they’re still there to help you! If you’d like to check out their products beforehand, which is encouraged, you can do so here!

B&P CYCLE

B&P Cycle has an online shop and they’re offering curbside pick up or home delivery for orders over $100! Like most shops, they still have people in the store to assist you over the phone if need be, but they also have an easy to use sizing and product chart for first-time buyers, which is just as helpful!

There you have it, speed-demons! Hopefully one of these Calgary bike stores will have exactly what you’re looking for! Stay healthy, stay happy, and remember to stay two feet away from each other while on those bike paths!
