Two Calgary spots make list of best new restaurants in Canada
Time to round up your friends for an evening out, because the best new restaurants in Canada have been released. Air Canada’s enRoute magazine picked 35 restaurants across 17 different cities throughout the country.
Here’s our take on the list, just in case you were curious.
Calgary has got two spots that got the nod this year. Concorde Group’s latest venture Lulu Bar is the first of them. This upscale, chef-driven bar on 17th is the perfect place for a date night or a meal with friends.
The second pick is funny because it has since shuttered permanently (oopsie). Le Petit Boeuf was the latest concept from the folks behind Cassis Bistro, but a decision was made to instead focus on expanding Cassis. Fine by us- we consider Cassis to be the best spot for French in the scene. Thanks for the heads up though, enRoute!
Toronto and Montreal swept up the list this year, with a whopping 9 and 7 restaurants being included each. Meanwhile, you can take a quick trip to Canmore’s The Sensory instead of trying to eat in Banff this winter. Trust us, it’s worth the detour.
