Happy Hour of the Week: S&P squid, wings, and Insta-worthy views
What’s better than gorgeous decor, cheap drinks, and cheap eats? Puppies, but that’s about it honestly. For the Curiocity Calgary Happy Hour of the Week, we’ve got all of the above! Minus the puppies, unfortunately. Now that would be a restaurant concept…
CALGARY HAPPY HOUR OF THE WEEK:
We’re at Two Penny Chinese, downtown’s top pick for delicious Chinese food. The Shanghai Art Deco theme doesn’t hurt at all, either. We want to know who their decor person is, because we need them in our lives and in our house.
How does fried rice and a cocktail sound? Pretty decent? Perfect, let’s get down to happy hour business.
Here’s the full lowdown: All week from 2 PM- 5 PM, snag feature draft beer, feature cocktails, and feature wine for $8. We likey!
Then, check out the food specials if you’re feeling hungry. Come hungry, trust us. You can get steamed BBQ pork buns for $9, cucumber and wood ear mushrooms for $7, and chicken wings for $9. Oh, we aren’t done yet. Also, enjoy kung pao potatoes for $9, salt & pepper squid for $14, and feature noodles and fried rice for $12!
Soo, yeah. Chinese food this tasty will always have a place in our hearts, but Two Penny’s Shanghai-inspired decor should also have a place on your Instagram feeds. Pop a squat, happy hour it up, and chill at this gorgeous hideaway.
It’s high-key one of Calgary’s most beautiful restaurants… And with pork buns, cocktails, salt & pepper squid, we can almost forgive the utter lack of puppies. Time for happy hour!
