City to hold pop-up farmers’ markets all summer, here’s how to find them

Fruit and vegetables just taste better when they’re bought outside, don’t they? Kale yeah, they do! This summer, through until Thanksgiving the local farms in partnership with the City of Calgary will be hosting pop-up farmers’ markets encouraging you to buy fresh, Alberta grown, good-for-you produce!

They’ve actually been doing this since 2017, but this year, they’re expanding! C-train stations were typically where you’d be able to find these, however, in 2020, they’ll be taking over more central hubs like Central Memorial park, community centres, and CSpace at King Edward School, among others.

Times and dates for the City of Calgary Farmers’ Markets will be updated and are subject to change depending on the weather, but if you’d like to see when and if they’ll be setting up shop near you, we’d recommend looking at their website here!

Also, because this is a city-run event, you can rest assured knowing that all COVID prevention precautions will be taken. No cut corners, no additives, preservatives, or pesticides, and no worries.

You’ll be feeling good from your head to toe-matoes!
