An inside look at a new Beltline cafe with major Japanese jazz bar vibes
Greetings loved ones. Let’s take a journey. Now that we’ve effectively started this article out with a Snoop Dogg quote, let’s shift gears entirely and head towards Japanese jazz bar vibes. Not sure what that is? Don’t worry, this Beltline cafe will show you.
I Love You Coffee shop just opened and they’re serving us quirky feels left and right. Neon orange, teal, and pink accents have our interior design selves quaking. It’s kind of minimalist, kind of in-your-face, but we like it. You know?
We’re definitely fans of ILY’s vinyl collection. Like the Tokyo jazz bars they’re emulating, this cafe is a place where you can gather and listen to the latest (or oldest) records. Pop a squat on the couch and open your ears– you could hear anything from Prince to King Britt.
Oh, and don’t forget to grab some sips and eats while you’re at it. They keep it pretty simple with baked goods and sandwiches, but it’s simply ~tasty~. And take it from us: once you try their dirty chai latte, you’ll never go back.
They have a pretty sweet liquor collection, too. Miller High Life and Sapporo are their initial beer offerings. On the red wine side, they’ve got George Deboeuf Beaujolais and Fantini Sangiovese. Whites include Zenato Pino Grigio and Gazela. The best part though? They have Jameson, Bailey’s & Kahlúa if you want to spike your coffee. God bless.
Anyway, that’s all we got for this new Beltline cafe Calgary! Catch us hanging out here during all our breaks. (So what if our breaks are long? We can’t tear ourselves away from the sweet vinyl sounds, sue us!)
