Giving thanks is easy, making turkey is not. For the twenty-something that hasn’t quite picked up cooking and just can’t catch a break or for the Thanksgiving orphan who just can’t catch a flight; we’ve compiled a list of eight different places in Calgary for an effortless Thanksgiving meal. Have your cranberry sauce and eat it too! No dishes, no mess, no stovetop fires, and no missing out.

ORDER IN FROM SUNTERRA MARKET

Sunterra does not play around when it comes to Thanksgiving dinner. For only $25 dollars, you will get an entire holiday feast. We mean that! It’s a hefty four-courser that includes a pumpkin butternut squash bisque, a salad, turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. If you’ve got the room, finish strong with fruit cobbler for dessert. Are you hungry yet?

Where: Any Sunterra Market – Find your nearest location here
Cost: $25

HERITAGE PARK – SELKIRK GRILLE

Heritage park pretty much has a Thanksgiving selection for any time of the day. From Sunday the 13th at 11 am to Monday the 14th at 4:00 pm you can grab turkey lunch for $15, or an extravagant four-course dinner for $42, which includes their to-die-for pumpkin cheesecake.

Where: Selkirk Grille – 1900 Heritage Drive SW, Calgar
When: October 12 – 14
Cost: $15 – $45

CLEAVER

They might specialize in chicken but come Thanksgiving they’re all about turkey time. The folks at Cleaver are well aware that it takes a ton of work to get the holiday right, and they respect that not everyone is willing to try. They’ve got you covered. The unapologetically bold restaurant will be dishing up Thanksgiving plank and stuffing, with chicken gravy and mashed potatoes.

Where: 102, 524 – 17 Ave SW, Calgary
When: October 14

FORT CALGARY

Slip into a Thanksgiving food coma early! Fort Calgary is open for brunch Sunday, October 13.  Fill up on omelets, eggs benny, bacon, pancakes and the chef’s selections of hot or cold items. Your ticket also includes admission to the historic museum, if your brave enough to try and walk it off.

Where: 750 9 Ave SE, Calgary
When: October 13
Cost: $0 – $45
