In anticipation of the Calgary Pride Parade, Eat North and the Skipping Stone Foundation (with the help of Remy Cointreau and Walter Craft Caesar) have joined forces for Shake, Stir and Strainbow. 70+ restaurants have released signature cocktails to show their support!

Here’s a quick rundown on Shake, Stir and Strainbow.

First off, proceeds will be going to the Skipping Stone Foundation, whose mission is to ‘support and empower trans and gender diverse youth and their families’.

The list of involved restos reads like a who’s who of Calgary’s food scene, ranging from Native Tongues to the Fairmont Palliser. So, make sure you ask your favourite spot if they’ve decided to join in on the fundraiser– chances are, they have.

Our personal favourite (so far) is the Channel Orange cocktail from Pigeonhole. The Channel Orange is made with Mount Gay Rum, Cointreau, Campari, cantaloupe juice, lime, lemon, and simple syrup. Basically, it’s the perfect drink to round out a summer of fun.

You’ve only got until September 2 to hop in on the Shake, Stir and Strainbow festivities. You can check out the full list of participating restaurants here.
