Watch the Raptors game tonight at Calgary’s version of ‘Jurassic Park’
Cowtown isn’t typically known for its huge basketball scene, but that won’t stop us from cheering on Canada’s team. Especially when it means that Calgary gets to have its own ‘Jurassic Park’ viewing party for the Raptors. That’s right, people! Find the big screens set up in the East Village tonight for Game 5 viewing pleasure. Let’s go, Raptors!
Here are the details of the event:
Where: East Village, Crossroads Plaza on RiverWalk in East Village – South side of the George C. King Bridge, Access from the corner of 6th Avenue.
- 5:00 pm – pick up game at East Villages new court The Bounce
- 6:00 pm – free entry opens for the game
- 7:00 pm – Raptors vs Warriors on the big screen in Calgary’s Jurassic Park
The Calgary Jurassic Park will be organized by YYC Food Trucks and East Village. On top of that, Calgary’s ultimate basketball guru, Eddie Richardson III pitched in to help with the event. The goal is obviously to show some love for the Raps, but also to show the country that Calgary has some legitimate basketball fever.

Cities around Canada have jumped (or tried to jump) onto the ‘Jurassic Park’ bandwagon. Vancouver actually got its initial viewing party request shut down, weird. It’s almost as if large crowds and sporting events don’t mix well in Van. Who knew?!
Regardless of the other cities, we’re pretty excited about Calgary having its own Toronto Raptors viewing party. Wear your Raps gear and bring your loudest cheers. We’ll see you there!
