Calgary has some serious talent and YYC singer/songwriter Tate McRae is making sure that the rest of the world doesn’t forget that! Last week, the 17-year old actually appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon to perform her platinum single “You Broke Me First,” and she crushed it.

It’s safe to say that the Calgarian has had an unreal year, with her breakout song ‘YBMF,’ alone amassing nearly 63 million views on YouTube and her newest release “Rubberband” following suit with 1.4 million in only four days.

Really though, we’re not entirely surprised. Not only is Tate McRae incredibly talented, but she has also signed with RCA, a record label also associated with other multitalented artists like Childish Gambino and Alicia Keys. If that isn’t ‘star power,’ we’re not sure what is.

These guys are notorious for skyrocketing people to success, so we can’t wait to see what she does in the future.
