Uh Oh, Netflix, Disney launches cheaper streaming service
In case you missed it, Disney announced their latest streaming service, Disney+, yesterday. The service joins Hulu and ESPN Plus, and will have over 7500 TV episodes and 500 films in year one.
From their tweets, expect content from Pixar, National Geographic, Marvel, and of course, Disney itself. The content ranges from the entire Simpsons series to Disney’s newest Star Wars series, The Mandalorian.
In year one, you’ll be able to rediscover more than 7,500 episodes and 500 films from our library on #DisneyPlus.

Disney+ will begin at $6.99 USD per month, heavily undercutting the price of their biggest competitor at this time, Netflix. However, Disney alluded that this is an ‘introductory’ price point, so it’s likely to rise as they build the service.
Disney+ is available for American homes starting on November 12. No word yet on when it’s coming to Canada.
