Help the Hitmen set a world-record Teddy Bear Toss this weekend
Stretch those ceps, get limber, be ready. Sunday at the Hitmen game is the world-famous Teddy Bear Toss, and this year, Calgary means business.
Competition does a charity good! The Hitmen are looking to reclaim their world record for most teddy bears tossed during a single game, which we lost last season to the Hershey Bears last season.
“The competitor in me wants absolutely to destroy Hershey and leave them in the dust, but we also know there are other teams who will be gunning for it,” said Rob Kerr, the Hitmen’s Assistant Manager of Business Operations in a post on the Calgary Hitmen website.

…Yeah, definitely just a little light-hearted competition, right? Last year, Hershey set the bar extremely high, tossing 34,798 bears, beating Calgary and the Hitmen out of their franchise-record of 29,635.
So, on December 1st, get out there and help TB Toss sponsors, Enmax and The Hitmen, bring the record back where it belongs when the Hitmen host the Red Deer Rebels in the Saddledome.
Tickets are on sale now, but are going quickly! You can snag yours here. All stuffed animals tossed after the first Hitmen goal will be counted for the clout of course, and then go to the Salvation Army and the Children’s Hospital just in time for the holiday season. Make it rain, Calgary!
When: December 1
Where: Scotiabank Saddledome
