Choo choo! The CP Holiday Train is coming to Calgary this winter!
Now in its 21st year, the CP Holiday Train has become a staple for Canadian Pacific and communities across North America. This magical holiday train will be winding through Canada and the US, offering free concerts and events at each stop.
That’s not all the Holiday Train is meant for, though. In fact, Canadian Pacific uses it as a way to raise money and food donations to food banks in each community. So far, the Holiday Train has raised $15.8 million dollars and collected 4.5 million pounds of food.
The trains will be starting in Quebec at the end of November. Then, one will wind its way through Ontario before dipping into the states for a couple of weeks. Meanwhile, the other will be travelling through the prairies on its way to Vancouver.
Both trains will be travelling with musical acts, with separate bands lined up for different areas. Basically, the CP Holiday train is your chance to a) see a crazy red holiday train and b) give back to your community in a meaningful way.
The CP Holiday Train will be in Calgary on December 8. You can check out the full schedule here.
