Calgary concert series to turn hotel pools into venues & balconies into private viewing boxes

Stampede might be cancelled, but in so many ways, the city has allowed the spirit of the Greatest Show on Earth to live on! In order to repair YYC’s entertainment industry while supporting local artists and businesses, The Calgary Hotel Association has come up with Hotels Live, a genius social distancing event.

Using suite patios that overlook either a courtyard or in Calgary’s case a pool area, people will be able to watch a concert feeling like a VIP. No, you won’t be able to mosh, and you’ll have to be careful not to dance yourself over the railing, but your chances of having a drink spilled on you, or getting your toes stepped on are practically zero.

In our opinion, that’s worth all the uncomfortable front row riots in the world.

Each $75 ticket will include your room and concert, to be paid for per person, and mems to last a lifetime! This series, as released so far, will feature cover bands for Garth Brooks, Pink Floyd, and The Tragically Hip, which could be a lot of fun! Consider us in!

Everyone wins here, but most importantly, everyone is safe, and we can all get behind that!

When: July 1st, 4th, and 18th
Where: Ramada Plaza Calgary Downtown – 708 8 Avenue SW, Calgary
Time: 7 pm
Cost: $75+
